Hi, I’m Iain McBride, living in the beautiful island of Madeira, Portugal, I bring over 20 years of culinary expertise to your table. My journey started in Glasgow and has taken me through some of the top kitchens in the UK, but it’s here in Madeira, with my partner Emma Farrow, that I am now fulfilling a dream of being a private Chef.
Emma, being Portuguese, has taught me the rich traditions of Portuguese cooking, which I blend with international flavors to create something special. I have also mastered a wide range of techniques and styles, from classic French and Italian cuisine to modern fusion and innovative gastronomy.

With a focus on inclusivity, I craft menus that cater to all dietary needs, including gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free options. My experience working with a wellness company has also given me the knowledge to create nutritious meal plans that highlight the benefits of each ingredient.
Great food brings people together, and I love being a part of those moments. When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me exploring Madeira with Emma and our rescue dog, Ranger. Our shared love for food, culture, and community is at the heart of everything I do.

Having a dining experience at home worked perfectly for us, especially with young children, allowing us to enjoy an incredible meal in a relaxed and comfortable setting.Chef Iain and Emma were both very friendly and professional. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and they handled every detail so we could simply relax and enjoy the evening. They also created a beautiful, relaxing ambiance that made both nights feel truly special. I would be sure to recommend them to anyone looking for a private dining experience in Madeira.

5.0Iain is the best! He puts so much time and effort into the dishes and makes the menus according to your liking. He was very helpful and even brought us water, wine, and any other supermarket items. It was such a pleasant experience and he throughly explained every dish. He was very pleasant and creates an amazing ambiance. I wish I had another night so we can book him again! Absolutely love him and his wife! They are so accommodating, respond quickly, and are the best!

Amazing, hosted a Christmas luncheon for us with all the trimmings and to a high quality, one of the best I have ever had and I have been to Michelin restaurants for lunch a few times. So good! Never could have made it myself. Highly recommend as an excellent, hassle free sit back and enjoy experience.
