-
Vehicle fluids

– Brake fluid

– Power steering -
Obvious oil leaks
-
Condition of tires (refer to my older post)
-
Engine bay clean and tidy
– Broken clips
– Missing bolts
– Signs some with little knowledge or care was in there -
No clunking or weird noises when on a test drive
-
Clutch engagement is good (not too high)
*I’ve noticed a few dealers and private owners “beautifying” the car in hopes to distract you from more serious issues. Don’t be fooled! New paint and a polish may only cost the previous owner €600 to do, however, the mechanical issues can cost in the €1000’s to fix.
When a customer asks for my Car Buying Inspection Service. I delve deeper to try and find any issue they need to know about to make the most informed decision.
I have inspected cars that ranged from requiring very little work, to vehicles that needed €2,000+ worth of work. You are spending a lot of money buying a car, so why not make sure you’re getting the best possible car?
